Why must we save the Earth ? You must be thinking, scientists are experimenting to see if we can live on Mars so why should we protect Earth ? But so far, scientists have not found it possible to do so. Even if it is possible, do we humans plan to destroy Mars like what we're doing to Earth ? So here are some ways we can practise the 3Rs. [ If we reuse and recycle, we can reduce already] Reduce 1. REDUCE the use of private transport and take public transport. [It doesn't kill, does it ?] 2. REDUCE the use of air-conditioners. They produce 10 times the pollutants more than fans:( 3. REDUCE the use of plastics bags ~ Bring our own bags :D Reuse 1. REUSE plastic bags at home by using them as bins for rubbish rather than throwing them away empty. 2. REUSE plastic waterbottles for art. For example, vases, stationery holders etc :D 3. REUSE old magazines and newspapers to fold them into boxes for containing food waste like fishbones before throwing them away. Recycle 1. RECYCLE glass, plastic and paper by putting them into recycling bins respectively. 2. Learn how to make paper using used paper (: [It's easy :D] 3. Use kitchen waste as compost :D Although many countries have decided to ban the use of plastic bags, but for industrial and commercial uses, we can't really totally ban them. You may refuse plastic bags when you buy things like lego, they keep them in plastic to separate them from different parts. We can't also totally ban the production of plastic bags, which is in my opinion, the root of the problem. The government should put more recycling bins everywhere so it is more convenient. Imagine, we go to Orchard to buy things and carry all the waste back home to our void decks to recycle ?
